High-speed fuel metering needle

The YS Engine YSS2048 high speed needle is a carburettor spare intended for fine control of the engine's high-speed fuel mixture in RC glow engines. It functions as the metering element inside the carburettor to help adjust performance in the mid-to-high RPM band during setup and tuning.

This product is provided as a single replacement unit; fitting requires access to the carburettor needle seat and standard hobby tools. The hardened steel tip and robust finish help limit wear from repeated tuning and needle changes.

Role in tuning

At higher throttle positions the high-speed needle determines fuel flow, so small rotations can markedly change mixture and running character. Make conservative adjustments while monitoring throttle response and engine temperature. The needle is intended for mixture refinement rather than structural fixes.

Installation notes

• Remove the air filter to access the carburettor area.
• Use the correct driver and turn the needle gently, counting turns from your baseline setting.
• After replacement, run the engine under controlled conditions and re-check mixture and temperature.
