The RD-630P is a lightweight spur gear hub designed to serve as a direct replacement on Yokomo RD, SD, and MD drift platforms. With a larger-diameter profile the spur sits closer to the gear case, which reduces vibration and helps preserve consistent mesh during lateral loads encountered in drifting.
The hub's placement lessens side load on the top shaft during sudden throttle changes, which contributes to a more predictable acceleration characteristic. The geometry is intended to boost spur retention and allow smoother rotation with fewer jolts.
When replacing series-standard spur hubs (for example Y4-630A, Y2-630PA, Y2-630RA) be aware the set-screw location is different. The RD-631 aluminium top shaft may be required to match the screw fixing position for secure installation.
Fit the RD-630P where improved spur stability and reduced vibration are desired; confirm top-shaft compatibility and use the RD-631 aluminium top shaft if the set-screw alignment does not match.
