Rear shock spring for pitch control

This setting spring is made for the rear pitching damper on Yokomo R12 shocks and is supplied at a softer rate compared with Yokomo's standard spring. It functions as a replacement spring to change rear pitching characteristics without altering shock bodies or pistons.

To install, remove the shock cap and spring retainer, take off the original spring, then place the R12-18RSS onto the shock shaft, set the desired preload and refit the retainer. Standard shock maintenance tools and a hex driver for the shock end screws are sufficient for the job.

When tuning, the softer spring reduces rear pitch stiffness which can aid traction and smoother weight transfer on lower-grip surfaces; ensure you also adjust damping and anti-roll settings to preserve overall balance.
