Overview of 3x13 Drive Pins

This pack supplies four replacement drive shaft pins measuring 3x13 and manufactured to an Extra Hard hardness level. They are intended for small-diameter retention duties in scale R/C drivetrains where pins secure drive shafts, dogbones, or similar coupling parts.

Compatibility checklist: always match the pin length and diameter to your shafts and hubs before pressing them in, smooth any burrs, and do not reinstall pins that have bent or worn. Proper selection helps ensure correct engagement and reliable service intervals.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Many scale electric R/C drive shafts and small hubs use 3x13 pins; confirm by measuring the shaft bore and the hub groove to ensure correct engagement.
Mixing pin hardness in a single drivetrain is not recommended; use uniform pins where possible to avoid uneven wear or differing deformation rates.
In addition to seating and straightness checks, inspect the hub bore for wear and ensure the mating surfaces remain clean to prevent premature failure.
Remove the worn pin, clean the shaft and hub, test-fit a new 3x13 pin, and press it in squarely. Recheck alignment and run a short test to confirm retention.
