The YS Engine YSG1045 disc valve is provided as an RC-scale replacement for the FZ70S line of two-stroke model engines. It performs the intake timing and sealing role in disc-valve configurations, replacing worn parts to reinstate proper timing and sealing integrity.

Installation is performed on a workbench: remove the intake cover, lift out the worn assembly, inspect the mating faces for damage, and fit the new disc ensuring concentric alignment with the crankcase port. Verify smooth disc movement and correct clearances before finishing reassembly and running the engine.

Replacing a degraded disc valve can restore throttle consistency and improve transient behaviour by correcting intake timing. Regularly inspect the disc edge and sealing surface for scoring, deformation, or loss of seal to avoid drivability issues.
