The YS Engine YSF2191 lower push rod is an aftermarket replacement for DZ140 valve trains intended to restore accurate rocker linkage in glow-engine assemblies. It transmits motion through the rocker arms and helps maintain predictable valve timing and throttle characteristics for tuning work.
Prior to fitting, check the old rod for bends, end wear, or thread damage. Use consistent thread engagement, tighten the linkage hardware to the recommended level, and check straightness by rolling the rod on a flat surface or rotating it in the rocker to reveal any wobble.
For tuning and routine checks, replacing a worn lower push rod can eliminate play that disturbs idle control and mid-range response. Where feasible, change rods in matched sets and re-check valve lash and rocker alignment after installation to secure consistent engine performance.
