Compatibility Notes for RP-021

The Yokomo RP-021 is supplied as a replacement rotor compatible with the Racing Performer range of scale RC motors. It retains the series' magnet dimensions of 12.5mm outer diameter, 5.00mm inner diameter, and 25.3mm magnet length, matching the original rotor form factor.

Fit the RP-021 when replacing a worn or damaged Racing Performer rotor or when restoring an original motor. Before using the motor, ensure the rotor bore matches the shaft diameter and that the can and bearings are clear of contact points.

This rotor is intended for scale RC motor maintenance and tuning only and is not for use in full-size vehicles.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It can fit other motors only if those motors use the same rotor form factor. Confirm the magnet OD (12.5mm), ID (5.00mm) and length (25.3mm) and ensure the inner bore fits your shaft before assuming compatibility.
The inner bore must match the shaft diameter closely to avoid wobble or misalignment. A loose bore can cause vibration and bearing wear; a tight bore may require careful reaming or professional fitting.
Modifying magnet length or rotor geometry is not recommended as it changes the motor's characteristics and can damage magnets. Instead, choose a rotor that already matches the target dimensions.
After assembly, rotate the shaft by hand to check for rubbing, listen for bearing noise, and run the motor at low throttle to confirm smooth operation before full use.
