High-visc silicone designed for stable differential coupling

This Racing Performer Ultra diff oil is an RC-scale gear differential fluid formulated to handle higher drivetrain loads typical of current LiPo and brushless systems. The #10000 grade delivers a high-viscosity silicone core aimed at stabilising internal damping so the diff keeps a predictable response under prolonged stress.

Practically, the oil controls torque transfer between wheels, smoothing engagement on acceleration and managing slip through turns. Using a heavier silicone helps avoid abrupt jumps in diff action and maintains traction consistency from start to finish of a run.

Service guidance: when renewing differential oil, fully drain the old fluid, clean the gears and housing, inspect seals and bearings for signs of wear, then refill to the recommended level and reassemble. Run a few controlled laps so the oil evenly coats internals before pushing hard.

Tuning note: stepping up to a #10000 oil increases coupling of axle outputs and can suppress wheel spin under throttle, so consider corresponding suspension and driving adjustments to preserve the handling balance you prefer.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
This oil is suitable for standard RC gear differentials where increased viscous coupling is desired. Check your diff housing and seal condition first, as heavier oils perform best in well-sealed units.
Most gear diffs accept silicone oils, but very old or damaged gearboxes may leak or fail to retain thicker fluids. Inspect for worn bearings or seals before use.
Yes, you can switch back to a lower-viscosity grade to reduce coupling. Clean the diff thoroughly when changing weights to avoid contamination between oils.
