Low-mass bell crank pin suitable for DP-series steering

This replacement pin is fitted in place of the king pin that secures the centre link to the bell crank. By decreasing rotating and reciprocating mass within the steering linkage, the SD-414BA lowers inertial load on steering parts and can result in a sharper initial steering reaction.

Installation is simple: remove the original king pin at the centre link, fit the supplied sleeve and pin following your chassis diagrams, and secure with the supplied screws. After fitting, inspect steering clearances and full travel to ensure there is no binding.

Is the SD-414BA simply a lighter king pin?

Functionally it replaces the king pin connection with a lightweight sleeve and pin kit. The result is the same pivot point but with reduced moving mass and the provided screws to secure the assembly.

Will this require other steering modifications?
