This injection-moulded 1:48 model represents the Sea Hawk FGA.MK.6, assembled to reflect the external fit and loadout options common to Royal Navy service in the late 1950s.

The Hawker Sea Hawk entered Royal Navy service during the early 1950s, undertaking carrier trials with 806 Squadron at Brawdy in 1953. Early versions used older engines; subsequent airframes were upgraded with the Nene 103, expanding ground-attack capability and allowing external stores. Some 434 Sea Hawks were built for the Royal Navy, with front-line use through 1960 and continued export service into the 1980s. The FGA.6 variant incorporated the Nene Mk.103 change and appeared in limited production in the mid 1950s. Service figures quoted include a length of 12.09 m, wingspan 11.89 m and a maximum speed near 962 km/h.

On the scale model the emphasis is placed on the external profile and service fittings rather than an extensively remodelled cockpit. The completed kit measures approximately 249 mm fuselage length and a 245 mm wingspan at 1:48, making it suitable for period carrier or hangar dioramas. The model includes one photo-etched fret for selected detail work and an instrument panel film to reproduce gauge faces where printed parts are not included.
