The Serpent SRX8GT R advances the SRX8GT '23 by concentrating on speed and tunability. With setup input from Andrea and Roberto Catanzani the model gains refined suspension geometry, improved transmission layout and enhanced adjustability while retaining core GT '23 virtues.
The switch to an in-line drivetrain improves transmission efficiency and prompted a full chassis redesign. The standard 4mm composite chassis achieves a balanced flex profile without side dams, while a 3mm optional chassis allows different flex tuning for varied circuits.
Geometry changes include a reduced track width and recalibrated roll centre behaviour to aid rotation and cornering stability. New suspension brackets expand the tuning window so drivers can adjust inboard toe and anti-squat to their preference.
The updated 2-speed shaft supports weighted shoe setups to improve shift timing and uniformity, and added clips minimise the chance of gearbox lock-up. Bulkheads are made from carbon-filled ultra-stiff composite, with aluminium alternatives offered for different stiffness characteristics.
The Serpent SRX8GT R is built for competitors seeking a highly adjustable GT chassis with efficient power delivery and a broad tuning envelope for match-day setup work.
