The Serpent Natrix 750 EVO is a 1/10 nitro touring car focused on delivering controlled handling and repeatable setup. It takes a proven platform and enhances flexibility in the chassis, refines suspension geometry, and improves gearbox reliability for racing use.
The chassis is a 3mm 7075-T6 aluminium plate engineered to tune flex for better handling balance. A vibration-isolated weight bridge, influenced by the 989, aids in optimising mass distribution and stability. The rear suspension redesign permits toe change during suspension travel to help maintain traction under acceleration.
The Natrix 750 EVO's 2-speed gearbox follows the robust approach of the 989, incorporating a longer roller ramp to lower the chance of gear lock and dual bearings in the second gear bell to stabilise rotation. Those improvements aim to keep the engine and gearbox running consistently in race conditions.
Borrowing shock concepts from the 989, the Natrix 750 EVO uses low-friction shocks with X-rings and a long bushing for improved sealing. An optional heave damper setup lets you tune heave independently from roll for different track types.
Michael Salven's design work informs the car's setup flexibility, offering items like a side-guard/stiffener for the body shell and optional front and rear heave sets. These choices allow drivers to adapt the car to specific driving styles and circuit surfaces.
The Serpent Natrix 750 EVO is aimed at racers who value precise adjustments and consistent component performance. Its upgrades focus on predictable handling and long-term reliability.
