The Serpent 903360 2-Speed Gearbox SL8 Upgrade Kit fits the Serpent 966 chassis and gives a compact, lighter gearbox aimed at improving shift quality and durability for competitive use.

Reduced Mass and Direct Bearing Mount

The design focuses on cutting rotating mass with a superlight 2-speed unit that keeps power transfer smooth. It uses an 8mm solid spring-steel shaft with a one-way bearing running directly on the shaft to lower friction. The aluminium bell is reinforced to withstand heavy running while keeping balance.

Robust Componentry for Race Use

• Aluminum Brake-Pulley Adaptor: Features three steel pins and the kit supplies a replacement brake disk for immediate fitment.
• Delrin Bushings: The 8x14x4mm bearings sit in these bushings to secure the 2-speed brackets.
• Spring-Steel Adaptor: A smaller, lighter adaptor that reduces weight and enhances gearbox efficiency.
• Aluminum Flange: Incorporates a German-made one-way bearing to help balance and reduce mass.
• Optimized Gears: New gear forms are lighter and stronger, improving mesh; available in 48/49 and 50T formats.
