Shock oil for suspension tuning

This Yokomo YOKRP-085275 Ultra Shock Oil is a silicone shock fluid formulated for use in RC shock absorbers to support damping setup. It is supplied as a replacement or tuning fluid for shocks that require a consistent silicone base and should be used only in model car suspension assemblies.

Role in tuning: shock oil manages damping speed by resisting piston movement inside the shock body. Selecting a heavier or lighter oil influences traction, cornering response, weight transfer and rebound. Implement oil changes as part of a measured tuning routine, altering one variable at a time to assess handling outcomes.

Installation notes: drain old oil, inspect seals and shock shafts for wear, and refill slowly to minimise trapped air. Cycle the shock to remove bubbles and top up if needed. Employ suitable syringes or shock pumps intended for RC shock maintenance to avoid contamination and overfilling.
