Aluminium low-GC shocks combined with low-ground tyres

This four-piece upgrade replaces specified stock components on compatible Traxxas Slash 4x4 models to lower the centre of gravity and give a firmer, more stable chassis feel at higher speeds. The aluminium-bodied dampers are matched to lower-clearance tyres to cut body roll and keep the car tracking more predictably across flat and mixed surfaces.

The damper bodies increase to 13.8mm with a 4mm shock shaft and slightly longer coil springs versus the reference. The larger volume and extended seating range increase oil capacity and tuneability, yielding improved mid-speed compliance and steadier damping over ripple and small bumps.

Fitting hardware supports ride height and preload changes: 4mm and 5mm aluminium shims, hex converters, lock nuts, Delrin collars and stainless button-head screws. Use the shims to set initial preload and the 12-17 hex converters to suit the Slash 4x4 wheel hex arrangement.

Fitment notes: recommended for builders who are comfortable working on suspension; verify screw lengths and thread engagement when replacing fasteners and re-align wheels after fitment. Start setup with conservative preload and two 4mm shims each corner, then tweak preload and damping oil to balance handling for your surface.

A dedicated aftermarket package to reduce roll centre and sharpen damping response on Slash 4x4 models; use the supplied shims and collars to set preload and refine track manners before aggressive use.
