BD7-2014 compatible SLF short shock spring cup

This replacement spring cup is crafted for SLF short-shock assemblies and identified for use with BD7-2014 dampers. It gives a secure seat for the coil within short-stroke shock bodies and allows exact adjustment of spring seating height and preload without changing the shock shaft or spring retainer.

Fitment is routine if you service shocks regularly: open the damper, take off the old cup and spring, position the new cup on the shaft or lower housing according to your SLF short-shock configuration, then reassemble and confirm free movement. Keep the original seals and spacers to preserve oil containment and stroke characteristics.

When tuning, note that altering the cup primarily impacts spring seat position and the preload envelope rather than internal damping behavior. Incremental adjustments to cup position will affect ride height, initial engagement, and transient handling. After fitting, check for lateral play and revalidate preload and endstops on a short run.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It is intended specifically for SLF short-shock geometries and reference BD7-2014 dampers. Interchangeability depends on shaft diameter, stroke and lower mount details; confirm measurements before swapping between different shock families.
The cup itself alters spring seating and preload range. You may choose to adjust spring rates, spacers or anti-roll settings to complement the mechanical change, but damping remains governed by your piston and oil selection.
After assembly, perform a slow full-stroke check to look for side play, confirm springs are concentric, and then run a short test session to recheck preload and endstop positions.
