D-MAX slipper tuning with soft grease

This soft-grade slipper clutch grease is an RC accessory for D-MAX slipper units, intended to refine engagement characteristics rather than act as a general gearbox or bearing lubricant.

Place a minimal, even coating on the mating faces of the slipper plates; the soft formulation reduces harsh engagement and can help eliminate abrupt slip chatter. Apply sparingly and evaluate progressively because too much product increases mechanical drag.

Installation is direct: clean the contact surfaces, apply a thin smear where plates meet, reassemble and carry out a bench test before on-track running. Protect electronics and seals from contamination during application.

Regular maintenance includes wiping away accumulated residue and reapplying as part of tuning adjustments. Store the tube closed at normal room temperature to maintain performance between sessions.

Will this grease alter slip engagement on worn plates?

On worn or rough plates the grease may not behave predictably; clean surfaces and assess plate condition first, then apply a small amount and test to see if engagement becomes acceptable.

Does the grease affect sealed drivetrain parts?

Avoid contaminating seals and bearings; the grease is for slipper plate contact only and can compromise seals or reduce bearing performance if it migrates into those areas.
