The Tyrrell P34 is notable for its unconventional six-wheel concept, intended to reduce aerodynamic drag via smaller front tyres. Designed by Derek Gardner, it first appeared at the 1976 Spanish Grand Prix and later achieved competitive finishes, highlighted by results from Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler at the Swedish Grand Prix.
Tamiya's 1/12 kit faithfully represents the P34's mechanical layout. The six-wheel suspension is reproduced with attention to movement and alignment, while the engine features realistic tubing and ignition detailing. Synthetic rubber tyres and finely photo-etched parts, such as brake discs and radiator grilles, provide a highly detailed final model.
