Upgrade Your M551 Sheridan with Scale-True Parts

The Tamiya 12687 - 1/35 M551 Sheridan Etching Parts & Metal Barrel Set offers modellers precise replacement components to increase realism on Sheridan kits. It is produced to complement the US Airborne Tank M551 Sheridan (item 35365) and gives additional surface fidelity to completed models.

Precision-Turned Barrel and Photo-Etched Enhancements

Included are a precision-turned aluminium gun barrel and two photo-etched frets. The turned barrel replicates the 152mm gun/launcher profile with fine muzzle detail and no seam lines, while the etchings recreate the anti-RPG netting and the engine grilles on the hull top for accurate texturing.

Recommended for Detail-Focused Modellers

This set is well suited to those who prize historical accuracy and crisp finishing. The parts integrate into a careful build process and raise the visual impact of the finished Sherman... sorry, Sheridan model on display.

Very good and efficient service and an extensive range of products at a very competitive price.
The turned aluminium barrel offers a realistic closed or open muzzle depending on the version supplied. Check the part on arrival and, if needed, drill carefully with a micro drill to open the bore.
The etch frets arrive flat and require gentle bending and shaping to match the hull contours. Use a folding tool or small pliers for consistent results.
Thin, even coats preserve etched detail. Avoid heavy brushwork over etchings and use light airbrush layers for a clean finish; a matt or satin sealer can protect paintwork without hiding detail.
