The VFR750R won attention by transferring racetrack technologies to a road-legal machine. Debuted in 1987 and derived from endurance racers, the RC30 featured components made from materials such as titanium, carbon fibre and magnesium, which added to its appeal for collectors.
Tamiya's 1/12 kit faithfully mirrors structural highlights like the twin-spar aluminium box frame and the Pro-Arm rear set-up. With careful assembly, the finished model presents an accurate small-scale representation of the RC30's chassis and bodywork.
Scale details include the FRP-like cowling and a contoured windscreen. The compact 748cc V4 engine is modelled to show the characteristic configuration, contributing to an authentic finished model.
