Debuting in 1996, the Honda CBR 1100XX Super Blackbird combined high output with aerodynamic refinement. With around 165 horsepower and a top speed in excess of 300 km/h, the machine featured wind tunnel-developed bodywork and a narrow frontal profile created by its piggy-back combination headlights. The model aims to reproduce those key visual traits.
Tamiya's 1/12 scale version reflects the bike's aerodynamic fairing and the dual-shaft balancer concept inside the engine. The kit includes representations of air intakes and the combined brake arrangement, offering builders parts that match the original bike's engineering cues.
As a display model, this Tamiya kit is well suited to collectors who prioritise accurate lines and engine detail. Finished correctly, it works well as a showpiece among other scale motorcycles or as a standalone exhibit.
