Tamiya 14094: 1/12 scale Telefonica RC211V (2003) concise guide

This 1/12 scale plastic model kit reproduces the 2003 Telefonica Honda RC211V and is supplied as a detailed assembly for display-oriented modelers.

The RC211V was produced by Honda as a five-cylinder, four-stroke racing motorcycle that featured prominently in early 2000s Grand Prix motorcycle racing competition. The model was refined through 2002 and 2003 with aerodynamic and chassis changes, including updated upper cowling profiles, intake configurations, and revised clutch and suspension parts. The Telefonica team ran a cobalt blue livery in that season.

The kit recreates the 2003 Telefonica Honda RC211V look, incorporating the cobalt blue cowl and fluorescent yellow checkered sponsor accents. Decal options allow representation of three riders from the year. A finely detailed V5 engine is modelled and parts are arranged to reflect the real machine's engine and suspension layout. Upper and seat cowlings and duct covers are attached with small precision screws to allow removal after assembly for inspection or alternate display. Frame and swing arm parts are represented with metal-plated components to echo the prototype finishes.

Yes. Cowlings and duct covers are secured with precision screws so they can be taken off post-build to reveal the engine for display or inspection.
