This 1/12 scale plastic model kit faithfully reproduces the 2003 Honda Team Pons RC211V as a static display model intended for collectors and experienced builders.
Introduced by Honda in the early 2000s, the RC211V was a multi-cylinder four-stroke prototype designed to take over from two-stroke competition machines. The package paired a compact V5 engine with a sophisticated chassis arrangement, including a unit pro-link rear suspension. Team Pons entries for 2003 featured altered bodywork and rider-specific fittings to suit that season's aerodynamic development.
The kit captures Team Pons-specific bodywork such as the modified tank cover and seat cowl, along with the overall mechanical layout. External features modelled in the parts include the fuel tank shape, upper cowl ram air ducting, enlarged rear intake profiles, and the exhaust layout. The sequence of assembly mirrors the real machine, helping builders achieve accurate visual results.
Notable construction elements are metal-plated frame and swingarm pieces, separate upper and seat cowls that are installed using small screws, and decal sheets for both Team Pons liveries. Engine casings and visible drivetrain housings are moulded as separate parts to improve surface realism after finishing.
A high-fidelity static model that delivers period-correct Team Pons RC211V detailing for display and reference.
