This assembly model kit represents the 2005 Yamaha YZR-M1 U.S. Inter-coloring edition at 1/12 scale, modelled to display the race livery and principal chassis characteristics of that season.
The YZR-M1 was Yamaha's leading four-stroke racing motorcycle through the mid-2000s, refined for high-level grand prix racing. The U.S. Inter-coloring paint scheme originates from Yamaha International Corporation branding and adorned a special-edition YZR-M1 at the 2005 U.S. Grand Prix.
The kit reproduces the 2005 YZR-M1's visual styling and selected mechanical elements. It includes three new moulds for the in-line four-cylinder engine, main frame, and rear shock, plus the cowling shapes specific to the 2005 model. After assembly, side and seat cowling panels are removable to reveal internal components. Tyres are realistic synthetic rubber bearing Michelin logos. The kit contains vibrant decals for the yellow and black inter-coloring pattern and vinyl tubing to represent brake and throttle lines. The supplied markings match bike No.5 ridden by Colin Edwards in the U.S. edition.
A carefully modelled rendition of the 2005 YZR-M1 U.S. Inter-coloring edition, intended for display and research-based assembly by enthusiasts and collectors.
