This assembly kit recreates the Yamaha YZR-M1 50th Anniversary U.S. Inter-Coloring Edition 46 at 1/12 scale, intended for collectors and experienced builders seeking a display-focused project.
The Yamaha YZR-M1 began life as a factory racing motorcycle for four-stroke competition in the early 2000s. By the 2005 specification the bike used a 990cc inline-four four-stroke engine, with adjustments to fuel tank placement and rear suspension mounting to improve mass centralization. That specification also included improvements to brakes and electronic systems. The U.S. Inter-Coloring paint scheme references earlier Yamaha livery and was applied to team bikes at the 2005 U.S. Grand Prix.
The kit represents the 2005 YZR-M1 in the yellow and black Inter-Coloring finish. Finished dimensions are 172mm in length and 56mm in width. Panels are designed to be removable once assembled so internal detail can be displayed. The compact inline-four engine, twin-tube delta frame and rear suspension are all modelled, and the kit includes synthetic rubber tyres and Cartograf decals for accurate markings.
A scale-faithful 2005 YZR-M1 model in U.S. Inter-Coloring livery, aimed at hobbyists who value removable bodywork and mechanically correct reproduction.
