This is a 1/12 scale plastic assembly kit that captures the 2009 YZR-M1 Fiat Yamaha Team Estoril special livery, intended for collectors and experienced modellers who favour display accuracy.
The actual YZR-M1 campaigned by the Fiat Yamaha Team in 2009 was Yamaha's four-cylinder prototype across that season. At the 2009 Portuguese Grand Prix in Estoril the team ran special Fiat liveries as part of a Punto Evo promotion. Riders present that weekend included Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, with Lorenzo taking the victory.
The kit focuses on exterior correctness and display-ready assembly. Major body panels, frame layout, and suspension cues of the 2009 machine are represented in the parts. The kit supplies solid synthetic rubber for the front and rear slick tyres, and Cartograf decals for both No.46 and No.99 liveries. Masking stickers are provided to aid painting of the bodywork, with vinyl tubing supplied to simulate the throttle, clutch, and brake lines. Selected cowlings use small screws so panels can be removed post-assembly, and the fuel tank fairing is designed to be detachable. A tank pad sheet and a display racing stand are included. Note compatibility with a separately available rider figure (Item 14118) and an optional front fork set (Item 16363) for additional detail.
An external-detail oriented replica kit that suits modellers seeking faithful livery representation and display flexibility.
