The production Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP was introduced as a road-legal machine with significant track intent. It continues the Fireblade series of high-performance superbikes, featuring sculpted aerodynamic bodywork, modern electronic rider aids, and a potent inline four-cylinder powerplant. The SP designation denotes upgraded chassis and suspension components to improve track handling and stability.

Model assembly follows traditional scale-kit construction with several subassemblies and display choices. The kit supplies precisely moulded side cowls with integrated winglet detail and removable fuel-tank cover and lower cowl panels for inspection or alternative presentation.
