When the Honda CB750F appeared in 1979 it set new benchmarks with its air-cooled DOHC 16-valve inline four, later reaching about 70hp after the 1981 update. The Tamiya 16024 kit reproduces that mechanical layout in 1/6 scale, aimed at hobbyists who prefer display-quality engine models.
This detailed kit models the 748cc DOHC four-cylinder power unit and features visible items such as the exhaust layout, air cleaner housing, and rear swing arm with chain drive. The box contents include fine fasteners and main parts like the cylinder head cover and the set of four carburetors. Parts are moulded in black plastic with chrome and matte plated finishes to give a convincing appearance. Vinyl tubing is supplied for breather and oil lines, and the completed assembly mounts to a supplied stand with a specification plaque.
