Tamiya 19620 Knuckle-Breaker Blue Special Product Notes

The Tamiya 19620 Knuckle-Breaker Blue Special is supplied as a Mini 4WD kit on the Super XX chassis, offering a practical balance of visual detail and upgrade scope. Its clear summer blue body sits over a dark blue ABS resin chassis, while the Type 130 motor and 3.5:1 high-speed gear ratio provide a straightforward setup for both display and entry-level tuning.

Build and Visual Details

This release uses a sturdy dark blue ABS Super XX chassis that is easy to maintain and modify. Matching nose guard, battery holder and rear stay lend a unified aesthetic. It uses polypropylene resin light blue wheels with elastomer resin dark blue narrow tyres and includes 14mm rubber ring rollers for authentic Mini 4WD appearance.

Modding Scope and Compatibility

With an installed Type 130 motor, the model is suitable for those exploring hop-up parts and simple performance tweaks. The Super XX chassis supports many compatible upgrades, allowing riders to tailor gearing, rollers and tyres for club track conditions or display priorities.

Out of the box it is aimed at hobbyists and collectors; however, with targeted upgrades such as motor swaps and improved rollers it can be prepared for club racing classes that allow modified Mini 4WDs.
A 3.5:1 high-speed gear ratio favours top speed over initial acceleration, making it a good base for tuning changes that seek higher track velocity once traction is managed.
Store the assembled or unassembled kit away from direct sunlight and extreme heat, and keep small parts in labelled containers to prevent loss and preserve the body finish.
