The Tamiya 21005 kit delivers a faithful 1/20 scale model of the Williams BMW FW24 as campaigned at the 2002 Japan Grand Prix. It portrays J.P. The rear cowling can be assembled in either position to expose the engine, gearbox and rear suspension components.

History and Design Notes

WilliamsF1, established by Frank Williams and Patrick Head, has been a major presence in Formula One since 1977. The BMW collaboration beginning in 2000 produced cars such as the FW24, which followed the FW23 in appearance but incorporated meaningful mechanical and aerodynamic refinements along with the higher output BMW P82 engine.
