The Tamiya 21149 release captures the classic lines of the 1981 Honda RS1000 with close attention to proportion and mechanical detail. The finished model emphasises the distinctive cowling and drivetrain elements that define the original machine.
Following the RCB1000, the Honda RS1000 used an air cooled 4-stroke DOHC 4-cylinder engine producing around 130hp. This kit mirrors the bike's race-oriented design, offering a faithful miniature that reflects its competitive pedigree.
Compared with a base kit, this issue features an improved fuel tank shape, revised headlight position and extra cable detail. The engine and exhaust receive detailed paintwork and metallic fork stickers to achieve a convincing display finish.
