The Tamiya 22059 - TD4 20T Metal Bevel Gears are an effective replacement for the original plastic bevel gears on the Super Avante TD4 4WD chassis. Manufactured from a cast metal alloy, these 20T gears are intended to reduce wear and improve torque transmission for upgraded motor setups.

Fitment and recommended models

These metal bevel gears are compatible with a number of Tamiya kits, including Item 58507 (1/10 R/C DB02 Leonis), TD4, and TB-04 chassis cars. They are not suitable for the TD2 chassis. Installing metal bevels makes it safer to run motors with greater output while avoiding premature gear wear.

Practical reasons to upgrade from plastic
