Precision Differential Mount Upgrade for TA-08 and TRF420

The Tamiya 22079 Aluminum Differential Holders provide a machined aluminium alternative to the stock plastic mounts for TA-08, TRF420 and TRF420X chassis. The 0.5mm offset is intended to improve alignment and repeatability of belt tension settings.

Improved Rigidity for Cleaner Drivetrain Operation

These aluminium holders clamp the gear differential securely and permit fine adjustment of belt tension. Reduced deformation under load keeps the drivetrain more consistent and rotation smoother. The rigid bulkhead to chassis connection also helps transfer damper movement more directly.

Where to Place Them Based on Track Grip

Select the holder orientation that matches your typical surface grip:

• High Grip: Use Item 22078 at the top.
• Medium/High Grip: Use Item 22079 at the top.
• Low/Medium Grip: Use Item 22079 at the bottom.
• Low Grip: Use Item 22078 at the bottom.

Compatibility and Visual ID

The Tamiya 22079 is compatible with TA08R, TA08 PRO, TRF420X and TRF420 chassis. Laser marking on the parts makes them easy to identify versus similar models such as 22078.
