The Toyota Celica GT-Four stands out in rally lore, reflecting decades of Toyota development. From its 1970 origins to the sixth generation in 1993, the Celica blended road refinement with competition-oriented engineering.
Tamiya's replica nods to the GT-Four's technical package. The production car was powered by a 2-litre DOHC turbo engine rated at 255 horsepower and used a full-time four wheel drive layout. Super-strut suspension and ABS formed part of its handling package.
The kit reproduces the Celica's distinctive looks, including headlight clusters and the rear aero wing. Moulded black parts and clear components for windows and lights are supplied, along with rubber tyres and detailed interior and engine parts for realistic completion.
