The Calsonic Nissan R34 Skyline GT-R earned its reputation in Japanese GT racing through competitive results in the All Japan GT Championships. Tamiya's 1/24 rendition reproduces the 1999 race cars compact styling and aerodynamic features. In racing form the R34 used an inline six cylinder twin turbo engine alongside a six speed sequential gearbox to handle high speed sections.
The model accurately renders the R34s front and rear overhangs to maintain scale proportions. A nylon mesh grille is included along with transparent under cowl pieces for visual depth. The chassis shows strut mounts and drivetrain components, offering modellers realistic assembly and display opportunities.
The Skyline race conversion incorporated carbon fibre bodywork and significant aerodynamic upgrades, notably a large rear wing. The kit mirrors those modifications, providing a faithful miniature for collectors and display model builders who prize historic race detail.
