The Tamiya 1/24 scale Nissan Fairlady 240Z Street-Custom is a faithful miniature of a car that helped define a generation of sports cars. Launched in 1969, the Fairlady Z established a reputation for attractive styling and solid performance, and the 240Z model introduced by 1971 showcased a 2.4-liter inline-six that won broad acclaim.
This kit reproduces the original 240Z with period-custom elements included. Model makers will find a carefully modelled 2,393cc SOHC engine that can be seen under the opening bonnet, plus a lowered suspension setup that reflects the street-custom look.
The kit comes with updated decals and metal transfers for authentic markings. RS Watanabe 8-spoke wheels are supplied in two pieces to aid separate painting. Builders can assemble either a right-hand drive Japanese example or a left-hand drive North American Datsun variant depending on preference.
