The Tamiya 25171 kit reproduces the McLaren Honda MP4/7-A that took part in the 1992 Formula One season. The model reflects the cars driven by Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger and illustrates the semi-automatic gearbox and Honda RA122E/B V12 engine that characterised the design. While the season did not yield a title, the MP4/7-A recorded five wins and remains a notable specimen from that period.
