The Tamiya 25412 - 1/35 British Centurion Mk.III kit recreates a key post-war armoured vehicle with careful attention to form and detail. Renowned for its protection and firepower, the Centurion Mk.III proved capable in the Korean War and later operations, and this kit highlights those traits.
First developed in 1942 as a heavy cruiser design, the Centurion was intended to counter heavy enemy armour. Its notable features included sloped frontal armour, a 600hp engine, and Horstmann suspension. The Mk.III, introduced in 1948, fitted the 20 pounder gun which saw widespread service.
Tamiya's 1/35 kit presents the turret and hull detail of the Centurion Mk.III, and builders can choose to display the 20 pounder with or without the canvas cover. Authentic Horstmann suspension parts and belt-type tracks are included to enhance the finished model.
