Often nicknamed the "Russian Jeep", the GAZ-67B was an important light vehicle for Soviet forces during World War II. With design cues from the American MB Jeep and production starting in January 1941, it was built for cross-country mobility and used for roles including command transport, reconnaissance, and towing light artillery. The vehicle stayed in service with Soviet-aligned forces after the war.
Tamiya's 1/48 finished model reproduces the GAZ-67B's basic silhouette and textured surfaces faithfully. Supplied pre-assembled, it features subtle weathering for a worn look, pad-printed markings for crisp emblems, and a set of decals for extra options. Spin-cast elements add weight where needed, producing a convincing display piece.
