The Tamiya 26541 faithfully represents the U.S. M8 Light Armored Car, nicknamed the "Greyhound." Introduced by Ford in 1942, the M8 served in reconnaissance roles during World War II and was valued for its speed and manoeuvrability despite limited armour protection.
This finished 1/48 scale model depicts the M8s key features including the open turret, the 37mm main armament, a coaxial M1919A4 machine gun and an M2 heavy machine gun for AA defence. The paintwork and markings are applied to echo vehicles seen in European campaigns, with weathering to increase display authenticity.
