This is a 1/35 scale snap-fit plastic assembly kit that reproduces the herbivorous dinosaur Fukuisaurus as part of Tamiya's selection of dinosaur subjects.
Fukuisaurus is known from Early Cretaceous deposits around present-day Fukui, Japan, and is dated to approximately 120 million years ago. It is estimated to have reached around 5.2 meters in length, with a beak-like front jaw and cheek teeth adapted to processing vegetation. Limb proportions suggest both bipedal and quadrupedal capability, and it lived alongside carnivores such as Fukuiraptor.
The kit reproduces body proportions and skin texture based on research with the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum and academic advisers. Major components are engineered for snap-fit assembly using Tamiya's CLIC LOC system, so no adhesive is required for the main joins. The kit includes detailed surface sculpting, mouth and tooth anatomy, a separate display stand, two 2D human silhouette figures, a color leaflet and a paper scenery background that can be painted or left as printed.
An accurate small-scale kit focused on proportion and texture for enthusiasts who assemble and display scientifically informed models.
