The Tamiya 31320 1/700 Japanese Light Cruiser Natori models a Nagara-class vessel first launched in 1922. The Natori served in several actions such as the Battle of Sunda Strait and was sunk by a US submarine in August 1944. This kit depicts the ship as seen in the early 1940s, highlighting its narrow hull and design capable of speeds up to 36 knots.
Intended for enthusiasts of naval modelling, the set includes precisely moulded elements including three funnels, seven 14cm guns, torpedo launchers, catapult assemblies and floatplanes. Metal flotation components are included to increase realism for display on water-based bases.
With a completed length of 230mm the model needs attentive assembly and is most appropriate for experienced builders. Waterslide decals and step-by-step pictorial instructions are provided to assist with accurate marking and finishing. The completed Natori is a notable addition to any historical ship collection.
