The Tamiya 1/48 Panzer 38(t) Ausf.E/F kit offers modellers a faithful miniature of a light tank that saw early WWII service. Initially designed in Czechoslovakia, the vehicle entered German service after occupation and proved dependable through operations such as Poland and the early eastern campaign.
The Panzer 38(t) carried a 37mm main gun and was supported by two MG37(t) machine guns. Its six cylinder engine allowed a top speed near 42 km/h. The Ausf.E/F variants built from November 1940 to October 1941 received tougher armour, a feature replicated in the kit's hull and plate details.
The box includes injection moulded components, water-slide decals and a weight to improve the model's feel. A commander torso figure is provided for display. Riveted armour, towing gear and tool mounts are modelled carefully, and two marking options allow choice of period finish.
