Tamiya has released German Tank Panther Ausf. D in 1/48 Scale Models assembly kit under Tanks Military Series category
The initial Panther
Widely considered to be among the list of best German WWII armor designs, the Panther's story started using the Ausf.D variation. Panthers had exemplary survivability considering well sloped armor, impressive firepower from a 7.5cm weapon, and a 700hp engine providing good flexibility - actually a complete performance package. It debuted in important Battle of Kursk in July 1943 and made a sudden effect, taking out enemy armor from range. Later on inside war, Ausf.A and Ausf.G variations had been in addition produced.
