The Tiger I heavy tank is a notable World War II design developed to tackle the Soviet T34. The mid-production variant, manufactured from July 1943 to January 1944, incorporated battlefield-driven updates such as a revised commander's cupola for improved vision and the application of Zimmerit paste to reduce magnetic mine risks.
The Tamiya 35194 accurately renders the mid-production Tiger I profile, including the suspension and hull detail. Some 470 examples of this variant were constructed and they were heavily involved on the Eastern Front. The kit appeals to modellers focused on historical fidelity and display work.
Contents include finely moulded plastic parts, separately moulded track links and a German soldier figure to enhance display scenes. Waterslide decals and clear pictorial instructions support an organised build, making the kit suitable for collectors and study models.
