The StuG III Ausf.G served as a compact, low-profile assault gun on the Panzer III chassis, designed mainly for infantry support in WWII. This early G-type is faithfully modelled in 1/35 scale, capturing the compact casemate layout and the evolutionary upgrades that followed early combat encounters.
Introduced in late 1942, the Ausf.G commonly fitted the 75mm L/48 gun plus distinguishing items such as the square gun mantlet and a commander's cupola. Field modifications later added the MG42 and Schurzen; this kit presents the early configuration for accurate period display.
With more than 220 parts, this Tamiya release provides a high level of exterior detail including towing cables, shovel tools and smoke dischargers. The set features separate suspension arms, rubber tracks and includes two crew figures with optional hatch positions to vary the finished presentation.
