The M4A3E8, commonly called the Easy Eight, combined a 76mm gun with horizontal volute spring suspension to improve handling and crew effectiveness. With a welded hull and V8 petrol engine this Sherman variant continued in service into the Korean War. The Tamiya 1/35 kit aims to represent those engineering and visual features for accurate modelling and display.
As the Sherman evolved, changes like HVSS and refined armour layouts affected battlefield performance. The Easy Eight saw varied markings and use in different units, and this kit gives modellers the parts needed to depict those service variations.
Tamiya's tooling emphasises clean part separation and detail where it matters, such as suspension components and turret lines. Builders who take time with assembly, paint and weathering can produce a convincing period model.
