A Long Ranger

Growth of the M107 self-propelled device began in 1956; 5 years later in 1961 it had been formally procured by U.S. forces, plus in 1965 it was tossed into action to the rapidly-escalating conflict in Vietnam. The long-caliber 175mm weapon offered the M107 a then peerless selection of 32km, for that reason was indeed set up on a lightweight open-top hull to allow airlifting. A corner for the 5 man-crewed automobile was fitted with a hydraulic spade. Among its more notable actions in the Vietnam War was through the Battle of Khe Sanh in 1968, as U.S. troops took advantage of its exceptional range to fire on North Vietnamese Army roles throughout the Demilitarized Zone in defense of this precarious position connected with Khe Sanh Overcome Base.
