The Tamiya 41079 Handy Starter enables on-body starting of glow engine RC cars, saving time when preparing or tuning models. It works with multiple driven gear units so you can leave the body in place while you ignite the engine.

Electronics Protection and Fitment

Compatible with ITEM 41076 Driven Gear Unit A, ITEM 41077 Driven Gear Unit B and ITEM 41080 Driven Gear Unit C, the starter suits several engine sizes. The built-in FET switch and safety circuit reduce the chance of overload and support consistent starting performance.

Simple Operation Steps

To use the Handy Starter, slide the drive shaft into the driven gear unit and press the starter control. Make holes in the body shell for the glow plug heater and starter to avoid removing the shell for every start.

Required Battery and Heater

The starter needs a 7.2V battery and a separate glow plug heater, both sold separately. Those components supply the necessary power and heat to get your engine running efficiently.
