Introducing the Tamiya 42326 TA-07 MS chassis

The Tamiya 42326 TA-07 MS Chassis Kit upgrades the TA07 platform with TRF419XR-derived details to deliver a flexible on-road contender. It is intended for racers who value precise handling and a broad tuning window.

Structural layout and chassis strength

A 2.25mm carbon fibre lower deck combined with a 2mm dual bridge vertical frame provides stiffness while aiding mass distribution for improved corner response. Aluminium bulkheads reinforce key mounting areas and support a stable drivetrain installation.

Drive train and suspension features

Adopting TRF super short big bore dampers, the TA-07 MS enhances tyre contact and damping control. Three selectable motor positions allow adjustments to traction and rotation, and the drivetrain is positioned 2mm lower than the TA-07 Pro/R to help traction under acceleration.

Setup and responsiveness

The kit includes ball-bearing sway bar mounts and a 20T centre pulley to reduce belt tension and smooth power delivery. The internal final drive ratio of 1.85 delivers a more immediate throttle response compared with the Pro/Rs 2.05 ratio.

As a high-adjustability 1/10 on-road kit, the Tamiya 42326 TA-07 MS is aimed at experienced hobbyists and racers who want TRF-like tuning options in a durable chassis.

Plan for a decent servo, ESC and motor suited to 1/10 4WD use, plus a suitable battery and charger, tyres and a 190mm body; quality electronics will make setup easier.
Basic RC tools and metric hex drivers will cover the build, though calipers and setup tools are useful for precise camber, toe and ride height adjustments.
Try stiffer front droop, firmer front damper settings or move the motor rearwards to shift balance; small incremental changes and logging results is the best approach.
Inspect belts, pulleys, bearings and diff oil after each race meeting or long run; regular servicing keeps performance predictable and prevents wear-related failures.
